Steve und Lesley
Originally they come from New Zealand where they both worked as accountants. They joined YWAM as staff 2 weeks after their honeymoon in 1991. They have 2 children, Josh and Hanna.
As part of the pioneer team, Steve is one of the base leaders. Steve has a heart for mentoring, teaching and developing young leaders to take on the world together!
Lesley runs the English classes which reach up to 65 kids each week.
Their home is always an open place for you.
Miri und Alim
Alim comes from the Fiji Islands. He was muslim until he had an encounter with Jesus when he was about 20 years old. That is why he has a special heart for muslims.
Miriam is a real Swabian and loves to cook for Alim and the base. As a trained kindergarten teacher she wants to invest in kids.
Jason und Luba
Jason comes from Michigan, USA. His heart beats for discipleship Jesus' style and training leaders who will train leaders and change lives! He has a great love for God's written word and seeing it walked out in everyday life.He has been working with YWAM since 2006 and has been on staff in Hamburg since 2009.
Luba was born in Kazakhstan and raised in Germany. Since the beginning, she has been part of YWAM Hamburg. She is a real evangelist and loves to preach. She has a heart for women in the red-light district.
Jason and Luba met during an outreach to Chile and are now happily married.
Jim und Katie
Jim and Katie are originally from London, England. They moved to Germany in 1988 and have been working with YWAM since then. All of their 4 children were born in Germany.
Jim is co-leader of this base as well as a member of the national leadership team. His main focus and passion is church planting. His vision is for a network of organic, simple churches. He also teaches regularly on the Holy Spirit and Evangelism.
Katie's teaching is also often in demand and she regularly teaches a week on Hearing God's Voice and also on Identity.
Annabell
Annabell is a crazy but very loving women. With her comes joy and life. Her passion is to teach, make people laugh and dancing.
She has a heart for the broken and for those who do not have a voice.
Before Annabell did her DTS in Brisbane, Australia, she was working in a hospital in Hamburg. Since August 2011 she is a staff member at our base.
Esther
Until 2010 Esther was working as a nurse in Cologne. Then she decided to do a DTS in Hamburg, and since then she has been on staff.
With her incredible readiness to help others, her organizational and culinary gifts she is a real blessing to us all on base.
She loves to see how God changes the hearts of people, how he heals them and sets them free. For her that is the biggest wonder ever.
Jens
Jens graduated from high school in 2010 and did his DTS right after that. He stayed to staff the first photogenX DTS in Hamburg.
He is a computer genius with a love for good quality and design.
