Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is an international, interdenominational missions organization.

YWAM was founded in 1960. Loren Cunningham (YWAM’s founder) had a vision of waves of young people that would break over all the continents of the earth to help

and to serve the people and to witness to God's love. Out of this dream a world-wide organization developed with more than 16,000 staff members, who work in more than 1,100 places in more than 180 countries. Our motto is:

"to know God and to make him known."

YWAM has 18 foundational values to enable young people to spread the love of God.

We can summarize our ministries and activities in three categories:
• Evangelism • Training • Mercy Ministries

We want to pass on the gospel in an appropriate and clear way, so that the modern generation are able to comprehend and accept it.

To do this we use creative tools such as music, videos, mime, dance, cross cultural performances, sports etc ...

Our heart is to reach people of all ages, in all their different situations of life and in all of the world.

Based on the foundation of biblical, Christian values, we want to help people to develop personally. We have a heart to help them grow in their gifts and abilities so that they can take their place in society, the church and world missions.

At the "University of the Nations" (UofN) Christians have the opportunity to graduate in different areas of studies like science and technology, languages, development aid and Christian ministries.

The Discipleship Trainings School (DTS) is the basic requirement to become a YWAM staff member and it is the basic course for all further studies. Every year about 25,000 students join UofN courses in one of our 800 worldwide training locations.

Mercy Ministries

To make God known also has a practical aspect. We want to help and give hope where there is the greatest need. Every year about 400,000 people are reached by our ministries.

Orphanages, medical health care and education are only a few examples.
